Q: Do Campus Canopies products fit around a twin XL bed?
A: Yes. Most college beds are twin XL and Campus Canopies products are designed for this size.

Q: Do Campus Canopies products work with lofted beds?
A: Yes. Campus Canopies products work with all lofted bed configurations.

Q: Do you make Campus Canopies products for full beds?
A: Yes, we currently have full-size Campus Canopies products. Please contact us at info@campuscanopies.com as we have a limited supply.

Q: Can I use the Campus Canopies structure with my own curtains?
A: No. Campus Canopies curtains are made with fire-resistant fabric and sold in accordance with National Fire Safety Association standards (FR-701). We do not sell the Campus Canopies structure without our curtains.

Q: Can I purchase curtains to DIY my own Campus Canopies product? A: No. Purchases of individual curtains can only be made to augment an existing structure or for a non-Campus Canopies product purpose like window curtains or an open closet. This is to ensure that Campus Canopies products remain compliant with all Fire Safety regulations and standards.

Q: Are Campus Canopies products easy to set up? A: Yes. Campus Canopies products do not require special tools and take no more than 15 minutes to assemble. Please follow the instructions and watch the Assembly Video on our website.

Q: How many people are needed to set up a Campus Canopies product?
A: Campus Canopies products only require one person for assembly. However, It can be fun if you do it with a friend or family member.

Q: Are Campus Canopies products approved by colleges and universities?
A: Yes. Please refer your institution’s Residential Life Office to our website if they have any questions. For additional information, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@campuscanopies.com.

Q: Are your curtains washable?
A: Yes. Please find the washing instructions on the label at the bottom left-hand side of the curtains.

Q: Are Campus Canopies curtains black out?
A: The curtains are opaque and help to block sunlight and the glare of lamps or laptops.

Q: Why is there no top on the Campus Canopies structure?
A: In order to be compliant with sidewall and overhead sprinkler systems in college dorm rooms, Campus Canopies structures do not have a top.

Q: How much weight can the poles support?
A: The Campus Canopies structure can support hangers and clothing. The structure is not made to support body weight.

Q: What is the best way to store the Campus Canopies structure at the end of the school year?
A: Your Campus Canopies structure should be tightly wrapped in the provided velcro straps and stored in our specially manufactured carrying bags. 

Q: Why is it required to list my College or University?
A: We partner with Colleges and Universities and a percentage of every sale goes back to the institution to support a Student Activity Fund.

The Campus Canopies concept was born when our founder, Debra, couldn’t find anything that gave her daughter privacy in a shared dorm room. So she designed and built one of her own, with an advanced aluminum structure and designer curtain panels. Her daughter loved it. Her roommate loved it, and wanted one for herself. CHOOSE YOUR PRIVACY LEVEL

All Campus Canopies products use the same sturdy frame. You just choose how much coverage you want:

  • 3 curtains: Great for beds in corners. Two curtains for the length, one curtain for the foot of the bed.

  • 4 curtains: Many college rooms have a window at the head of the bed. Four curtain panels gives the room an aesthetic look and blocks light (most popular option).

  • 5–6 curtains: Full surrounding coverage for maximum privacy.

  • Measures 79" x 54"

  • Is made from opaque fabric that blocks sunlight and screen glare

We use energy-efficient, American-made aluminum poles—lightweight yet durable enough to last all four years (and then some).

  • Fire-safety compliant (FR-701 curtains + open top = sprinkler-safe)
